About Me
I grew up in an obese family and struggled with food addiction until college. I was obese for most of my life and I never dreamed I could have a fit body. As a child I was told that I had a slow metabolism and that I had bad genetics. No one taught me how to eat properly or that exercise was important. In college I began running to alleviate back pain and combat fatigue. It was so challenging! I'm 5'2". At the time, I weighed 184 pounds and wore a woman's size 14. Running with that amount of weight was tremendously exhausting, but running actually gave me more energy and my back pain went away. I stayed at it for a couple months and I noticed that my clothes were looser. Excited by the results, I decided to start eating healthier. I cut out soft drinks and saw even quicker weight loss. As the weather became cooler, I decided to run at my college gym. After a couple months the volleyball coach noticed that I was trimming down and offered advice about weight training. I had no idea I was doing things so inefficiently. My body began to transform! I realized my lack of knowledge had been holding me back. Many years were wasted sifting through garbage information online. Finally, I took courses by J3 University on bodybuilding, nutrition, muscle hypertrophy and the female body as it relates to bodybuilding. With all of this knowledge, I was able to sculpt my body into the form I wanted to see! I wish I had learned all the information sooner or at least hired a coach to teach me. Now that I have the knowledge, it's my desire to help others achieve their dream body.
